Confirmation 2016 will be
celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, Belgooly on Wed. 6th April at
10.30am. First Holy Communion 2016
will be held in Sacred Heart Church, Belgooly on Sat.21st May at 11am.
Trócaire show and workshop
- on 18th April for Sixth classes.
Kinsale Community School
brought an amazing Science exhibition and Science magic show to 3rd,
4th and 5th classes on Fri.15th April.
Teacht le chéile -
We commemorated Proclamation Day by raising the National Flag after
some of our festivities for St.Patrick's Day and Seachtain na

Congratulations to all involved in Scór. Well done to all who

World Book Day was celebrated on Thurs.3rd March - have a

Puppy Love! - Have

Credit Union Quiz
- Congratulations
to both our U-13 and U-11 quiz teams who came first and second
respectively in the Kinsale Credit Union School Quiz held on Monday 1st
Feb. Our U-13 team will now compete in the County Final next
month! Best of luck!
Gymnastics in Action -
Jamie
from Gymnastics Carrigaline keeps our pupils fit and healthy with his
gym routines. The children love the challenging exercises - have
a look at Ms.M.Murphy's sixth class by clicking on the photo! Junior
infants to Second class will start their first week of gymnastics on
Thurs. 25th February.
BioMarin (a local
Cork-based pharmaceutical company), has kindly donated a new
defibrillator to
the school.A presentation was made by
Mary O’Connor (BioMarin) to the school just prior to the Christmas
holidays.The school is grateful to
BioMarin for its consideration and such a generous gesture and also to
the
Parents’ Association for its continuing efforts to add to the pupils’
school
experience in so many areas.
Santa Claus
came to visit our school on Thurs.17th December! Our school
abounded with the sounds of festive carol singing, excitement and
Christmas cheer! Have a look at some photos below...

Force visited
our school on 1st
December.

Stardome
- our school hall was transformed by the Blackrock Observatory on 25th
November. More to follow soon....
Halloween
parties were
held on 22nd October.....J.I. to 2nd class had a spooooooky time -
thank you to our PA for organising these fun events for our

A Drumming Workshop
was held on 19th October for Third to Sixth classes. Junior
Infants to Second class enjoyed this in January, as you can see from
the photos!
Danceof Life project -
Dance
instructor Nicky Hayes brought this project to our school since
September. All classes will explore how movement is used in
everyday life at some stage between September and Christmas. The
first groups performed for other classes recently.....click on the

Have a look at our new Sensory
Garden!
Eli Lilly volunteers worked hard for a week and have provided the
school with "An Gáirdín", a sensory garden, which will be enjoyed by
many pupils for years to come. The school is extremely grateful
for the time and effort required to create thisbeautiful, tranquil

Max brought his hen Minybill to school recently. She
won a prize for laying four eggs in two hours at an Agricultural show
in Limerick. Well done
